We Search people are working with a leading Long Island Construction company with over 30+ years of expertise in Civil construction. Starting as a family-owned company with only a few employees, now turning over $50+ million in annual revenue.

The company is looking to add a Senior Estimator with experience in Civil Projects e.g. buildings, parks, roads, and environmental.

Our client offers long-term growth and progression opportunities, in addition to great team culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Communicate and maintain relationships with subcontractors

·       Prepare cost estimates for projects as per company business model and industry standards

·       Capable of managing and leading other estimators

·       Manage bid process and conduct bid review

·       Capable of preparing thorough estimates and doing a bid closeout

·       Determining the cost of material, equipment, utilities, and labor for the construction projects

·       Representing the firm with clients, subcontractors, and consultants on virtually any range of subjects related to the business.

EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS

·       Bachelor’s degree is desirable

·       Estimating experience on public works projects

·       5+ years of relevant experience as an Estimator in Civil Construction

·       High time management skills and being able to thrive under pressure
